Americans from Sports specialize in dream pop that’s hard to ignore. The duo, currently preparing to release their fourth album, will perform next November at Warsaw’s Hydrozagadka.
Sports are made up of Christian Theriot and Cale Chronister - friends from Oklahoma who have been blending dream pop with elements of psychedelic alternative music in a highly catchy way for years. They gained international recognition with the single “You Are The Right One”, which appeared on their critically acclaimed debut album “Naked All the Time”. After three albums, the musicians are returning to their roots with new, fully self-produced material that showcases their signature blend of groove, nostalgia and a subtle synth-driven sound. Their latest singles “Keep Falling in Love”, “Nice 2 Meet Myself (Bang Bang Bang)” and “If You Want Me” herald a new chapter in the band’s career, where honesty meets creative freedom.
Pool Girl is a Los Angeles-based artist creating indie dance with plenty of dreamy elements capable of putting listeners into a trance. She describes herself as “the cool younger sibling mixed with the girl next door who plays her music way too loud”, which perfectly captures the vibe of her artistic persona. She has already released two EPs (“Trophy Wife” and “Ultramarine”), on which she isn’t afraid to tackle more difficult subjects such as loss and mental health. Her latest single, “Crab”, was featured on Spotify’s global “Fresh Finds” playlist, further confirming her growing presence on the alternative scene. On November 4, you’ll be able to hear her live in Warsaw as the support act for Sports!
