DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT | Warszawa

Der Weg Einer Freiheit will hit the road this autumn in support of their new album, with Poland included on the tour routing. The atmospheric black metal and post-metal outfit will perform on October 18th at Mechanik in Warsaw, joined by the UK’s Conjurer and the electronic-ambient project Brnsjmin.
Black metal has long proven itself to be far more than a genre obsessed solely with occult themes — many artists within it turn inward instead, exploring the human psyche, guilt, and emotional struggle. For over fifteen years, Germany’s Der Weg Einer Freiheit have followed that very path, becoming one of the leading names in the modern wave of atmospheric black metal fused with post-metal. While their early releases already earned critical acclaim, the true breakthrough came with 2017’s “Finisterre”. On subsequent records, “Noktvrn” and last year’s “Innern”, DWEF only solidified their position, showcasing a unique ability to balance blackened intensity with deeply emotional and immersive songwriting.
When it comes to today’s metal landscape, Conjurer stand out as one of its most eclectic acts. The British quartet seamlessly blends sludge, black metal, and doom, while weaving in atmospheric textures that broaden the scope of their sound even further. Their latest album, “Unself”, was released last year via Nuclear Blast.
Opening the evening will be Brnsjmin - the electronic and ambient project of Munich-based artist Giovanni Raabe. Expect sparse, mysterious soundscapes, which you can already dive into through his two releases: the debut “Wind bei Nacht” and last year’s “Büro of Music”.
