Machetes up! Brujeria are returning to Poland for two shows, accompanied by Chilean band Criminal! The Latin deathgrinders will perform on March 12th at Hybrydy in Warsaw and the following day at Rudeboy in Bielsko-Biała.

There are few deathgrind bands as charismatic as Mexico’s Brujeria. Active since 1989, the band have built their image not only around their extremely intense music, but also around controversy. Their debut was so extreme that many distributors pulled out of working with them. On the other hand, one of the tracks, “Matando Güeros ’97,” was featured in Harmony Korine’s film “Gummo.”
Brujeria are undoubtedly one of the leading names on their scene. Over the years, their lineup has featured musicians from At the Gates, Faith No More, Fear Factory, The Haunted, Carcass, and Cradle of Filth, not to mention Shane Embury of Napalm Death, who has been involved with the band since its early days. The upcoming shows will also be an opportunity to commemorate Juan Brujo and Pinche Peach - two key members of the band who passed away in 2024.
In March 2027, Brujeria will be touring Europe alongside Criminal, fronted by vocalist and guitarist Anton Reisenegger, who is also associated with the Mexican band. The Chilean thrash/death metal legends have released nine albums, the latest of which, “Sacrificio,” came out via Metal Blade Records in 2021.”
