New project by the musicians This Will Destroy!
“you, infinite” brings together Jeremy Galindo and Raymond Brown, founders of the esteemed instrumental band This Will Destroy You, in a new collaborative project that carries a moving story.
After leaving TWDY to pursue a medical career, Brown continued to write music while establishing a successful practice in Austin, Texas. During the pandemic, he gathered a collection of melodies and ideas that he shared with Galindo, which initiated a renewed creative collaboration. Despite the distance between them, Galindo in Los Angeles and Brown in Austin, the duo began exchanging ideas digitally to shape the foundations of the electronic, panoramic post-rock sound of you, infinite.
you, infinite - "Shine Eternal"
From 2021 to 2024, they met in person to refine the tracks and ultimately finish the album. Collaborating with Andrew Hernandez, who recorded and mixed the album in the summer of 2024, Brown and Galindo were supported by Johnnie McBryde, Ethan Billips, and Nicholas Huft, who are current members of Galindo’s lineup in TWDY. McBryde's percussive dynamics, along with the textural details from Billips and Huft, added unique depth and incredible warmth to the project, bringing the album to life.

As the lead single, "Throughlines" is the first track by you, infinite made available to the world and serves as a delicate yet powerful statement. A tender balance between the sound of the piano, shimmering guitars, and stirring, anthemic percussion; "Throughlines" nurtures nostalgia for a life that has already passed, while evoking a wordless sense of courage for what lies ahead.
The successor to the groundbreaking TWDY S/T album, “you, infinite” is a reflection on over 15 years of development and experiences, both as band members and friends. With a transformed and refreshed approach to sound, Galindo and Brown chart a new path through a familiar yet entirely different landscape; boldly honoring their past as they venture into unknown places.
